"By making the choice to be in the room, you have already taken the first step to success. Next, align yourself with business owners and corporations whose vision and mission best fit your values."

Q: What do you find is the most valuable aspect of attending the National Conference?

As the primary leader of a growing organization, it is imperative to increase my learning opportunities, expand my network, and develop relationships with a global perspective. The National Conference is an excellent venue to engage with corporate representatives and gain best practices on how to effectively leverage the Décor brand on a national level.

Q: What values have led to and continue to support your business acumen?

It is a privilege to be an inspiration for emerging interior designers, minority business owners, and mothers. As founder and lead designer of Décor Interior Design Inc., I have created an expanding enterprise that is committed to service, progressive growth strategies, and philanthropic community endeavors. While design is my craft, my true passion is people. My thirst for knowledge and the ability to ignite the best in others is a skillset that serves me well both professionally and personally. My ambition and perseverance to sustain and maintain have resulted in exponential growth.

Q: What guiding words would you like to share with a newly certified WBE who is looking to get involved in the WBENC community?

Don’t go at it alone. I would recommend both emerging and established business owners to build strategic alliances to experience exponential growth. We are building a legacy of success for the next generation! To truly make the WBENC experience valuable, you have to share, network and engage with the WBENC Community.
